What is Demand Response?
Demand Response is customers changing their electric usage in response to changes in electricity tariffs, emergencies or pricing incentives. The goal for the grid is to lower system-wide demand during peak times by controlling loads. Although available for many years, Demand Response is now seen as one of the most promising method of managing electricity supply demands during peak hours.
